Early Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) is a Medicaid benefit that provides extensive and preventive healthcare services to children under the age of 21. This benefit plays a big role in ensuring that individuals in the stages of childhood or adolescence will acquire suitable dental, developmental, mental health, preventive, and specialty services.
Reliant Home Healthcare Services, Inc. provides long-term care to those who are approved for EPSDT, as well as HMO insurances. We have shift and intermittent skilled nursing available. It is our hope that by providing pediatrics nursing services, we can do our part in helping the children in our community develop and learn how to live with what has been given them.
Here are the items that fall under our pediatrics nursing services:
- Provide skilled nursing to homebound adult & pediatric clients
- Client assessment and vital signs
- Provide gastrostomy and tracheostomy care
- Tracheal suctioning
- Care of patients on Ventilator or CPAP
- Administer continuous or bolus gastrostomy feeding
- Glucose Monitoring
- Wound Care
- Prepare specimens to send to lab
- PICC line care and flush
- Patient and family teaching
